This is a set of earrings made of genuine bone and decorated with a traditional Mahjong tile. The tiles are meant to have a weathered, antique look and the shading of the bone as well as the artwork will vary slightly on each set. The tiles are 3/4 " long by 1/2" wide. Lapis beads accent the tile.. The overall hanging length of the earrings is 1 ". See pictures for size perspective. Mahjong, or Mah Jongg is a table game that originated in about 500BC China. It consists of a large number of tiles with a variety of Chinese letters, drawings, pictures and so on. It's popularity is still extremely strong around the world. Different countries have modified how the game is played as well as developing new tile sets on an ongoing basis.
